I was in the mood for something sour so I decided to prepare my own version of Kilawin. There are no special ingredients for this one. Just some daikon (Japanese raddish), ginger and onions to spice it up, and some grilled pork. I wanted to make kinilaw at first but decided against it because I ran out of maguro (fresh tuna) and cucumber. Plus, it was raining this afternoon so that I didn't have the time to go out. I had to improvise so that I can satisfy my craving. After all, it is the sourness of the kilawin that I was hungry for. It's a good thing that we have in stock sukang puti or white vinegar, which hubby insisted that we purchase at the FIlipino store. Now, I am thankful that he did!
Have a good weekend everyone!
