The following Blog Review is an official entry to Kaye and Pehpot's Blogversary Contest. If you haven't encountered this blog yet, read on to find out why it's worthy of a visit.
The Philippines, despite it's being a small country has a lot of islands to be explored, 7107 islands to be exact. Going from one island to another offers a different sense of excitement and adventure. One of the most frequented is Bacolod, the City of Smiles and home of the Masskara Festival. It is no wonder that travel blogs such as Bacolod and Beyond Journey abound in the blogniverse. But what makes this blog different from others?
Foremost is its blog layout. The brown background color reminds me of sandy beaches, and true enough, there are lots of beautiful beaches in Bacolod. The header subtitle which says "places visited, food served and people met" indicates that the author who is orginally from Bacolod has now gone to a different place and have been traveling back and forth.
In this blog one can find the author's travel memoirs as well as posts about her home city, Bacolod. Photos of beaches and seascapes are featured in the various meme entries. The widgets are in place although some are a little outdated like the Merry Christmas button and I think it could use a LABEL cloud gadget or widget so that when one visits and would like to read more about Bacolod City, he/she can just click on the label and everything about it will be visible.
And being a travel bug, I always think that educating oneself with different travel destinations is an advantage. If you love to travel too and want to visit Bacolod one of these days, this blog is definitely worth a look!
